Clones can be made by cloning machine if it's upgraded to be able clone Sims. The clone will have the same physical appearance, clothing and traits as the original Sim, but will not have their skills, career or relationships.
Clone Sims will have the heads of the originals, but their bodies will always be the same grey mixed with trims of black and green, and sims created by the cloning machine will join to the family.
Clones also produced by spellcasters for whom able casted spell "Duplicato". The clone will appear in the original Sim's family tree as their sibling. The clone also hold same physical appearance, clothing and traits as the original Sim, but the relationships between original and clone have to be developed again. However, clones will cast a spell to disappear when times up, and their existence will be removed eventually.
Clone Sims have some very useful uses. They can become servants, lovers, body guards or even to simply fill the household. The player can clone Sims of different life states or make rare hybrids common. The clone Sim will have their traits, but not their skills or careers, meaning they can be taught with what ever skills the player wants, to fill their needs.
For clones produced by spell, the original Sim may order their clone to cook, fight and clean the lot, also Sims are able to interact with clones normally. The fun of having clones by cloning machine is not without risk.
The clones each have their own random personalities, so statistically speaking, if the player makes enough amount of clones, one or two will be evil.
The player has to be very careful, as they can possibly make a serial killer, a gold digger, or an evil twin of themselves. This can be a huge problem, especially if lots of clones of the same Sim has been created. By that it can be hard to tell which one is evil, and which one is good.

Now, go to the "Tools" menu again, but this time to go "Neighborhood" and then "Sims Surgery". Wait for a new window to appear it may take a while. A list of Sims should appear. Find the Sim that you want the appearance of, then click on them. Click on the "Use" button in the Patient Sim group, and then "Export" in the same group. Here, you will be able to change your extracted file's name, or use the character file name that SimPE generates for you.
At this point, your file is ready to use. Extracted Sim appearances that are placed in the "SavedSims" folder can be recreated in Create a Sim.
To do this, select the skin tone of the Sim you want to recreate and go into Step 2 of Create a Sim. Your extracted appearances should appear with the custom content star. Alternatively, you can click the Saved Sims icon that appears in Step 1 of Create a Sim and find your extracted Sims there.
It's impossible to directly extract a pet's appearance in SimPE, and even if they show up in SimSurgery, it won't work properly. However, you can still register the pet as a breed, which is almost the same thing. This requires that the pet you want to register is part of a household. All you need to do is go into the household where the pet lives, and click on a phone.
From there, click on Pet Registry. Choose Register Breed, and then choose the name of the pet you want to extract.
